Pros

The amenities are good. There's free health care within the premises. Food is available at subsidized rates. A lot of international exposure in terms of working with people from all over the globe.

Cons

There is little to NO work life balance. Overtime is encouraged so much that there are charts pulled every month to check on the overtime trends and it is made sure that people continue to work twice the hours they're supposed to. The direction from management is never clear. The number of Ad Hoc requests that swoop in are out of control. They have no regard for your life outside of the company. There's cost cutting every now and then. The bonuses are a joke. It is literally a nightmare of a workplace.

Pros

High base pay in Singapore on semiconductor sector, attractive bonus and shift allowance, and many good people to work with. Senior employees are approachable and willing to teach. Clear career progression, although it may take long time to move to senior position.

Cons

Below than average work life balance. Sometimes you are required to work long hours, even though overtime pay is given.

Pros

Management has realized that a major transformation is needed in supply chain, sales and finance and IT to stay competitive in dynamic cyclical business of memory. This has resulted in several welcome changes and on-going changes that may only pay off in years to come.

Cons

The current environment is unstable as the transition happens and dust settles. There is a lack of real talent in some business functions and the leaders don't have what it takes to lead the teams from the front due to lack of competencies. Key is to attract and retain specialized talent and not rely on local people and just rotate their jobs.
