      Pros

      Opportunity to meet people from all over the world. If you like small towns and playing in the outdoors, Boise is a really great place.

      Cons

      Hard to advance. "Bonus Restructuring" meant that after 12 years my bonus would be less than the one I received after just starting with the company. You were just a number and replaceable at any time. Management had no desire in helping their people gain new skills and move up in their careers.

      Pros

      The pay is competitive with the industry. Promotions are generally from within, so advancement opportunities are relatively plentiful. We work with new technology and methods, so the work is rewarding in and of itself. Benefits are about on par with everywhere else.

      Cons

      The campus is a pretty long drive from most everywhere in the area. The company doesn't support telecommuting all that much, so I spend more than I'd like getting to and from work. There is often a disconnect between departments so that communicating goals and needs is a lot harder than it should be. Also, there's a little too much finger-pointing and blame deflection.

      Pros

      It's a fair sized corporation with a small town feel. People show pride and an entrepreneurial get-it-done attitude. The Boise headquarters is a great place to live for those who love the outdoors.

      Cons

      It's tough to get a start as a new employee in the midst of ten+ year veterans who are like family to one another.
