Pros

Great relocation benefits, generally nice people

Cons

Entire C and VP level management has changed. Seat of power is now San Jose, CA. Professed values are marketing speak and not really lived out in managements day to day actions.

Pros

Benefits are good, vacation time and paid holidays all good.

Cons

Management is horrible, children playing favoritism and messing with people’s careers. 80% of our team has quit and they still think everything is OK. Very poor morale. Not hiring qualified people to do the jobs. Get out now while the market is good!

Pros

Truly can't think of many. Products aren't that innovative - DRAM is all standardized. Micron knows their Boise HQ based employees have nowhere else to work in high-tech and tamp down salaries and raises as a result. Layoffs frequent. Bonuses not frequent.

Cons

Company favors Mormons and lifers at Micron for upper management. Company is not a fan of Californians relocating to Boise to work for MU. Company secretly tracks every employees' website visits on company computers. Visit 1 personal website at work? It's tracked and grounds for termination under Micron policy resulting in ZERO unemployment bennies and separation pay. Company uses employees 'badging in' daily not for security but instead to actually compile # hours worked each and every workday. IF you fall below 40 hours worked in any week expect your manager to talk to you personally and issue a warning. Workout at work? Micron does not consider this in the 40 hours/week. Take conference calls off Micron grounds - ditto, not counted towards the 40 hour per week minimum. Company WILL terminate you and use weak reasons like "violated company policy by visiting 1+ personal website while on company time." Middle managers work their way up at MU often by screwing others.
