      Avoid Process Departments Specifically. You'll Thank Me Later

      Pros

      not sure. semi market is going strong so that's a plus.

      Cons

      Process Engineers are worked to the ground. Crazy long hours. Work load through the roof. Too many review meetings. Pay is in peanuts but they expect you to pull some serious weight. Always running under tight deadlines. WLB becomes non existent. The stress will transfer over to your non-work life as well. Support required in weekend as well.

      There are none. Don't waste your time looking for them.

      Cons

      Micron's SSD org fakes compliance with ISO audits, then goes back to business as usual as soon as the audit is over. No cohesive planning at any level. No onboarding process for new employees. In short - the most dysfunctional organization I've seen in the last 30 years.

      Pros

      Excellent benefits. Health insurance is incredible, stock program is great, and annual bonuses. The people are kind and have your back, it's a very warm environment.

      Cons

      The CEO, while not completely awful, is definitely far more interested in maximizing profit than employee wellbeing. There is a lot of show put on to make it sound like Micron puts employees first, but the truth is that you will always be second to the shareholders. Hybrid options are starting to pop up in some departments, but no fully remote options are available. They are definitely far behind the times as far as work environment is concerned.
