Pros

This job allowed me to view the different moving parts in a business operation and to introduce changes to increase visibility and efficiency of the business office. This project gave me the sense of serving my fellow students, faculty and staff.

Cons

As this was a job at the institute, there were timing issues and during the finals the work would be put on the back burner to allow time for academic preparation.

Pros

Excellent salary and benefits, great work/life balance. Nice community with a low crime rate. Excellent personal and professional growth opportunities offered through various venues such as Books 24/7 and Lynda.

Cons

There are very few opportunities for advancement. Although it is good for the college that the employee turn over rate is low, for those staff members looking to move up it is difficult.
