No appreciation or rewards for non clinical staff

Pros

This is a small facility, and it's easy to get to know your co-workers. When you need something there's not a lot of red tape.

Cons

If you are a nonclinical employee working in the nursing department, you will receive no rewards, recognition, or opportunities for advancement. Compensation is poor. I am leaving soon, and have advocated for an upgrading of my position upon my departure, but have been told that's not possible. Thousands of dollars squandered on window-dressing programs such as Magnet.
