Pros

Great pay, decent benefits, great coworkers, in a great industry

Cons

No communication, money hungry policies, lack of respect for employees, they were all too eager to remove me from a position instead of telling me what I was doing wrong or even helping me to improve.

Pros

Even though it may seem like Mike's Bikes is a hugely successful company, they are amazingly open and transparent to all employees by giving everyone a voice and chance to excel. I have never ran across a company like this before. The core values and culture set in place by Mike's really does harbor fun, and love of our customers. Some say they appreciate their customers...Mike's Bikes means it.

Cons

If you don't like working hard...this ain't the place to be. Buckle up!

Pros

Everyone who works for the company has at least one thing in common, we all love bikes! At least I hope we do... Pretty good pay, if you’re motivated to get out there and talk to people. Performance based pay is a good motivator. They encourage you to learn and then sell. Plenty of PK (product knowledge) available. Promotes from within. MB encourages us to ride our bikes which is probably what brought us all to the company in the first place!

Cons

Performance based pay, but hey it could be worse. Better 401k matching and better Health Coverage plans. I’m thankful that we have the options don’t get me wrong, but they can always be improved on. It can feel a bit “fratty” to touch on one other review, but you gotta play the game because it’s either sink or swim. treading water doesn’t cut it in this company. This isn’t the little bike shop down the street, I mean it is, but this is not the shop to work at if you want to hang out with your hands in your pockets all day, be a snooty shop guy. This is RETAIL so as long as you realize that, are ok with it and have the ability to sell you will be just fine.
