Pros

Mike's has given me a career in the cycling industry which is rare at all other bike shops. Matt & Ken are very transparent and help guide/mentor employees to grow within the company and gain important life skills. If you're competitive and love to challenge yourself, Mike's is the place to work! Hard work is recognized by upper management and you're compensated well for achieving results. Company culture is spot on - Work hard, play hard! Employees feel good about what they sell and the company core values align with their message. More butts on bikes! Many people who hold leadership positions within the company started at entry level positions which is motivating for new employees to see.

Cons

Communication between Headquarters/Distribution Center and the stores can be a struggle at times, but it's getting better. The pressure to perform is very high so be prepared to put in long hours and dedicate yourself to your job and the company. However, hard work is rewarded and doesn't go unnoticed.

Pros

Even though it may seem like Mike's Bikes is a hugely successful company, they are amazingly open and transparent to all employees by giving everyone a voice and chance to excel. I have never ran across a company like this before. The core values and culture set in place by Mike's really does harbor fun, and love of our customers. Some say they appreciate their customers...Mike's Bikes means it.

Cons

If you don't like working hard...this ain't the place to be. Buckle up!

Pros

Great people working at the company, management really works with employees to ensure you get the hours you desire. Everyone does a great job of helping out and showing you the ropes when you're new to the company.

Cons

The pay could be better, but overall it's worth it for the great experiences and great people you will be working with.
