Pros

Amazing place to work. I have been here a 1.5 years and The leadership genuinely cares. The heart is to be the most beloved company in DFW and we do that by serving the community. Could not be more grateful to have found this gem of a company.

Cons

Benefits are somewhat expensive but are similar to the competition. The pros far outway the cons.

Pros

1) Good van. 2) Easy to take time off. 3) Still a few very good techs willing to share knowledge. 4) They stand behind their very, very, very expensive work.

Cons

1) Milestone has moved into pure sales. They value "techs" who sell things and "flip" systems (convince a customer to replace equipment). 2) They make their techs literally tear apart customer equipment in search of problems. Their "process" takes 2-3 hours per system, and the tech makes very little money (well under minimum wage) unless he sells something. It puts you in an ethical conundrum: make far less than a living wage, or find a problem so you can sell an overpriced solution just to make a reasonable income. Also, this constant tearing apart of the system does real damage, shortening the life of the equipment; and if you don't do it, they punish you - even take away your pay. 3) The pay is never correct; you really have to track your pay because it is always short. 4) They hire their friends from church who have no knowledge or experience and put them in high paying management roles... it's really bloated at the top with patronage jobs. 5) They make you wear a hokey uniform that is uncomfortable and straight out of the 1950s.
