Not bad at all

Pros

Unparalleled exposure to the inner circle of capital markets. It feels like being in a MBA almost, and you would have to grow in that direction.

Cons

Big global org so sometimes things are a little disjointed. There is also a lack of compelling leadership in the middle layer (Associate to Senior Director).

Pros

Great opportunities to work with some of the brightest people and orgs in finance, health, and philanthropy. The people that work at the Institute are for the most part genuinely smart, kind, and supportive. Good work/ life balance

Cons

Giant moneymaker but incredibly cheap with staff, associates and senior associates rarely attend the events they have a large hand in, it takes years to move upwards, no bonuses, siloed cultures because teams are very insular, if you have a bad experience with your manager or team there is very little that can and will be done to support you
