Pros
Almost impossible to get fired outside of safety violations, theft, or downsizing.
Cons
Mass exodus of talent and institutional knowledge. Essentially zero accountability for low performers, especially management. Performance metrics (where they exist) are manipulated to the point of worthlessness. Delivering results means taking on more work from people who will not do their own and being stuck in your current role. Projects are often initiated without a clear understanding of scope, requirements for execution, or impact to the organization.
