      Pros

      The Co-workers - great group to work with Stability of the company.

      Cons

      Research and SAFC business units have separate business models so can't leverage systems and processes across both organizations. EMEA often approaches US efforts to collaborate with suspicion. Managers are either "SAFC" "EMEA" "US" and SIAL culture forces them into their own Silos, often working on their own initiatives, systems and processes in a vacuum. Global projects often evolve into multiple sub- projects defined by region and business unit. which makes it hard to be successful.

      Pros

      Many, many opportunities to grow and expand, if you're willing to put in the extra time. GREAT benefits - medical, dental, vision. Great vacation time program and continued education program. The overall environment at Millipore is very much "team play." Everyone works their rears off to get the job done right and on time (dependent on site). St. Charles, MO & Billerica, MA sites are great. California-not so much.

      Cons

      Constant re-orgs going on makes it very tough to have good, sound practices in place. It's constantly changing and evolving and very hard to keep up. It seems that sometimes the middle management does not think things through or learn from past mistakes.
