Too much work no reward

Pros

Only good thing is the pay

Cons

- Lack of communication from top down - No employee recognition unless you want to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week and when you take PTO you need to still have to have your work phone and take no break and respond to anything work related - they put too much work on one employee and do not resource teams. They expect one employee to handle responsibility that should be split up between five employees, and then fire that employee for not fitting the “culture” - managers literally expect you to work weekends - do not recommend this place unless you want to sell your soul to this company

Pros

Sometimes they do good activities for employees,

Cons

If you don't look like or belong to a certain group, you feel like you are a stranger. Some managers/VPs have a big technical gap between them and their staff. Some of the staff belongs to certain group get promoted yearly, the others wait if you are lucky.

Pros

Good work benefits, cafeteria with subsidized / reasonable good food in many major buildings in the WI area. Growth rate over the past 10 years has made employee promotion / growth opportunities overall good. lots of ownership over a complete design, great wide breath exposure to many issues, (FW, HW, compliance, manufacturing, etc). Lively atmosphere

Cons

the growth rate sometimes causes growing pains. I've had 6 managers in 4x years because of constant growth cycles / re-organizing / etc. so on average the manager giving my performance review is not the manager I started with. I find myself constantly having to re-prove myself every ~6-8 months with a new manager, possibly in an entirely different department. organizational processes and standardization could also be greatly improved, most days feel like drinking from a fire hose. limited processes / procedures to ensure success, and poor communication / guidance from management through the growth with new hires / new managers / new everyone being added all the time. extra strain is placed on exiting members to constantly continually bring new hires (including every manager in a BU sometimes) up to speed, and the new-hire count continues to rise. I have 2x engineers that I work with who didn't have a signal conversation with their manager over a 3 month period.
