sometimes you do other departments' jobs when they drop the ball in order to keep a new client happy and not cancel within 90 days. Even if you go above and beyond to fix a problem that had absolutely nothing to do with you and the client cancels, you will have that commission revoked and a pat on the back with management basically saying, "yeah, it is what it is." I'm not saying they shouldn't take the commission if the company didn't make money, that's just sales, but there is no evaluation done as to what happened. Account managers do not manage accounts, they just upsell, so if you work on the land team, don't expect assistance from them.
