Pros

Fun people. Good health benefits. The wellness credits are sweet (free massages!)

Cons

Culture is lacking, pay is pretty off, bonuses are not what they should be. It is hard to run a company successfully when losing 12 million a quarter.

Pros

Atmosphere, hands down. I've never worked in a place that is so continually positive, encouraging, and motivating. My coworkers, and superiors all seem to have the same goal in mind, and we are all working together to achieve it.

Cons

The incentive program is very deceiving. When I started, I was led to believe that my performance would be rewarded, and that there will always be room for growth. While I'm sure that is still true in theory, the reality is much different. Since I've started, I've earned multiple certifications, been part of numerous task forces to analyze our product and its impact on the market, and joined a pipeline. The pipeline program alone has me doing several of the tasks of a supervisor including mentoring new hires, and handling escalated clients. I've accomplished so much in my first year here, and my reward has totaled just over 40 cents.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We appreciate the honesty and the opportunity to respond to concerns and provide recommendations to improve your outlook. MINDBODY has grown substantially over the years and has adjusted customer service pay upward to what we believe is above average, however to be certain, we've recently hired a compensation manager who is working with every department in the organization to help us develop a transparent compensation philosophy and compensation scale. This will enable us to communicate the pay scale and the philosophy behind it during the time of recruitment so people can decide if this is a job that will meet their unique financial and professional needs and desires. I'm not sure what certifications, Taskforce, and pipelines you're referring to or what your expectations surrounding pay around that are, but it sounds like you've shown a lot of personal ambition and initiative to create opporuntities for yourself that you don't feel were reflected in your annual performance evaluation. I'm also not sure if you received a 6 month evaluation and pay increase, which is usually standard in Technical Support. We do consider that 6 month increase at the point of the first annual review. In other words, I can't fully respond to your concerns without more information and would appreciate the opportunity to do so in person and at the very least encourage you to talk to HR about how to resolve this concern for yourself. In regards to rumors about past pay increases - in 2012 we began shifting from an average of $14 per hour to a new scale averaging $16 per hour. Because we did not have a lot of knowledge and experience about executing on this, it was done without much transparency and set expectations that pay increases are and will continue to be ahead of market, which averages 3% per year nationwide for top performers. We are sorry that you feel disappointed with your raise, and would love to talk to you more to figure out how we can improve both our communication and process around pay increases while giving more insight to MINDBODY's current payroll strategy as relevant to your position.
