Pros

The patients were the only good part of this job and being able to interact with them.

Cons

This is a terrible place to work. Not sure what was worse - overhearing my boss make inappropriate comments to my coworkers about mine and other's breasts or, during my interview, being told the monthly bonus was part of my salary and then manufacturing reasons for me not to get it. This was not a good experience.

Pros

Working with patients, Miracle Ear Foundation, excellent training, bonuses

Cons

They try to get you to cold-call people to get them in so the HIS can sell them hearing aids--during a pandemic. I was told I needed to do this and this was the main reason why I put in my resignation. There are too many scripts, too many calls to make, to try to get people to buy these products. The prices on these aids get jacked up every time there is a "newly improved" product--which is at least once or twice a year. HIS are told they should start up-selling customers even before their hearing aids are out of warranty. The franchisee hits hard on keeping the current customers "close" and in contact so they can be sold again and again. There's a percentage of customers with future appointments, and it's monitored every month and sent in an email and hammered over your head that you need better metrics. Calls, calls, calls! Closers are dishonest vultures. Like a previous reviewer said, these people come in during an Open House and try to use whatever tactics they can use to get people to buy. They will come in and act like they're from the "lab" when in reality they are not. And they definitely are NOT audiologists. Boring. Most days it's just you and your HIS working in the office. That is it.
