Pretty good company

Pros

Vacation and health benefits. Not the best but better than nothing. Support team is good and they leave you alone as long as your close rate and ASP is on point. The salary/commission is better than some and less than others but I would say it’s “average”.

Cons

ME is a retailer and they will get every cent possible. Recently they have raised the price of hearing aids much higher than our competition but you can sell them cheaper (at the price they should be) but you have to give up part of your commission. Salary doesn’t mean salary, if you work less than 80 hours bi-weekly and do not use your vacation time, they will divide your yearly salary by 52 and then by 40 and pay you an hourly wage. If they cannot get money from the patient, they’ll get it from you.

Pros

Get to meet new people and hear their stories.

Cons

• poor pay, was told I was going to be making 21 an hour and was hired on at 15 and was told “if I did well I can get commissions” • the commission amount is never explained and is finicky to obtain. They also changed the structure last minute halfway through my tenure there. • We are specifically told not to ask for too much information over the phone aside from the bare minimum to make a profile for the patient. If asked questions by the patient we are specifically told to not answer them. (If asked if we accept their specific insurance, even if I KNOW WE DONT I’m supposed to say I’m not sure I’ll check it when they check in) •the hearing aids are sold at exuberant prices, starting at 8000$ and we are told to never give that number out to incoming patients. • with the information we take for the profiles we are told to specifically keep calling, texting, send snail mail and anything else we can to get you in. We are told “do not stop calling” I was told we were helping people, and yes while hearing aids do help people; stealing money from the elderly who cannot afford them but get pressured into signing a legally binding contract isn’t helping. Never work here, never buy from here.
