Pros

Great staff nurses who care.

Cons

Continuous exodus of experienced RNs on some less valued units causing new nurses to be in the majority without the mentorship of seasoned nurses.

Pros

It's a great position to figure out what you want to do as a career within a health care setting because as a housekeeper you get to experience a little of what it's like around every department and every role, kind of like a sneak peek of what everyone does everyday and talk with people and figure out what you want to do as a career.

Cons

Having to work holidays and even in bad weather you still have to make it in.
