I Choose Mission

Pros

Mission actually cares about the environment for its employees; wants us to be happy, healthy and engaged in our work. They have lots of resources committed to making this the best place to work and to seek healthcare. I could work lots of places, but I choose Mission!

Cons

Every organization has a few things they could improve, but at Mission, the improvements needed are rare. At times, the layers and levels of authority can be difficult to navigate, but I find that the executive leaders are available whenever I need them.

Registered Nurse

Pros

Good advancement potential and excellent team work.

Cons

Business model overrides patient centered care model. Compensation is marginal. Chronically short staffed. Some Director level and above in nursing administration negate input from bedside nursing and this needs work to gain magnet status.
