      Pros

      Well-run organization "Feel-good" mission - serve the people of WNC Great location - Asheville is hard to compete with. Large enough to have what you want, but maintains a low-stress feel. Retirement plan matching, generous PTO

      Cons

      Should you ever have a desire to leave, it's hard to justify leaving Asheville and Mission. The grass is typically not greener elsewhere.

      I have worked at Mission for 38 years. I love my job. I teach all new hires on one of the many computer software systems used at Mission. One of the most enjoyable features of my job is meeting a lot of different people with various diversity. Mission's vision is to serve our community and patients with the highest quality of care and passion possible. We strive for excellence in all we do. Employees try to make a difference everyday in this ever changing world that we live in.

      There are many challenges with healthcare especially in the world of insurance reimbursement.

      gain experience in the medical field that is easily transferrable to anywhere in the US. Opportunity to help other people.

      Cons

      There are a lot of mean spirited, vindictive, entitled people. Those that have been in the system for many years are resistant to change and resent new employees.
