Pros

Great Place to Work award. Very innovative. Good benefits. Sophisticated leadership. Well into becoming a health system structure over the 18 counties it serves. Good people in the facility management area. Very dedicated, personable and easy to get along with.

Cons

In facility area there is an evolving direction and restructuring going on. They recently lost some of the facility development structure, processes and tools due to a restructuring in 2014.

Mission Health Response

Thanks for your response and your kudos to the GPTWP & benefits at Mission! We agree, the staff in Facility Management is dedicated and wonderful. Can you tell me more about the facility development structure noted as a Con? I understand that Facilities was redesigned in 2014 to better meet the needs of the health system, and we continue to evolve the organizational structure to best serve the patients, community and operations. Happy to share additional feedback that could influence positive change. Thanks!

Pros

Nursing leadership at Mission is very supportive. I feel like my CNO and Nursing Director are connected to the staff and patients; they are here for the right reasons and are very focused on patient outcomes. I love the teamwork at Mission, throughout nursing and across departments, including all disciplines! It really is a great place to work.

Cons

I work on the SJ Campus. The building is old and the rooms are small. Looking forward to moving in few years!

Pros

Great people who care about what they do and particularly for the patients. Benefits are comprehensive and the hospital does match 50% of contributions to 403b after 1 year with 3 year vesting. Also provides short and long term disability and life insurance at no cost to the employee. Health plans have two options, published at www.missionandme.com Also can choose Dental, Vision, and a lot of other benefits. Beautiful place to work.

Cons

Affordable housing in the area can be a challenge. It is available but requires some looking.
