Pros

The insurance plans do not have high deductibles and they are reasonably priced.

Cons

As an employee, I do not feel like a person but an employee number. -My family recently encountered an emergency situation requiring me to be away from my job intermittently to help care for a family member. Mission has been unwilling to help me in any capacity. I am not allowed to change my status to PT, take FMLA, or work remotely ( which is a privilege that is available but only granted to management and administrative staff). I have been a long term, excellent, faithful employee and it is disheartening that they do not provide help to their employees in unforseen circumstances. -Another disappointment is that anytime you need help you are passed from one person to another and your problem is never really resolved. If it is then it is after jumping through several hoops to get to someone who may or may not be able to help you. -The charting program is not appropriate for ambulatory facilities and it takes 3-5 times longer to chart than more suitable programs. You can provide examples of the issues to the appropriate persons but no solution is given for the problems that are encountered. -The medication database is basic at best with some of the most common products prescribed nit being in the database. - Providers are not allowed to efax or escribe controlled rx that typically do not require a written/printed rx. - It is virtually impossible to be efficient with any of the systems they use or have in place. - In my experience, and this is the 2nd time I have been involved with a merge with Mission, they do not follow through on the promises they make to the staff. This is a very frustrating place to be employed. Unfortunately they own a great deal of the medical offices in the Asheville area.

Pros

It's a good place to work, you always get nurses that are not very good but for the most part everyone tries to help each other.

Cons

It's a tough job being a CNA, a lot of manual labor with lesser pay. The company doesn't seem to care much about their employees.

Pros

Overall this is a good work environment.

Cons

Low wage. Patient to nurse ratio & acuity has gotten more off balance which is common in most facilities these days. Lack of "real" vs. perceived nursing input into patient care and work flow.
