Thanks for all you do for Mission in your role. Glad to know your colleagues provide a good work atmosphere for you. We love it when employees make referrals, and for some roles we even offer a referral bonus. Also positive feedback helps in recruitment of new employees to the system. We hope you engage with your leader through StandOut, weekly check-ins, and other forums for feedback to leaders at Mission and suggestions you have for building talent pipelines in your area of expertise!

Thanks for your feedback, and for your work at Mission as a caregiver for over 3 years now. If you have concerns about management, feel free to reach out to HR with concerns. Curious about the firing people for no reason, as there is a strict process of corrective action that leaders must follow. Contact HR Direct Connect if you need further assistance: 828.213-5600.

Pros

Good hospital, great reputation in Western NC and the State. Emphasis on patient care and ensuring patients and familys have a good experience while in the hospital. System is growing and there are lots of opportunities. Fairly decent benefits.

Cons

Benefits are eroding yearly. Nurse to patient ratio is often 5x1 on Cardio-Vascular units. Pay is much better in other regions of the country.

Thank you for all the work you do each day to care for our community. Thanks for the kudos-- Mission has a great reputation, and our patients and families are our top priority. We also take pride in having a robust and diverse selection of benefits for our team members: http://missionandme.mission-health.org/total-rewards/. Mission Health's Cardiovascular and Cardiology Units participate with IBM Watson/Truven to benchmark our staffing plans to ensure appropriateness. In our CVICU and CICU, our staffing ratios are typically 2 patients/RN, unless patient acuity dictates otherwise. On our Cardiac Stepdown Units (3 Heart, 4 Heart, 5 Heart) our RN staffing ratios are typically 3-4 patients/RN on days and 3-5 patients/RN on nights. Our Nursing Team is also supported by PCTs on each shift. Hope this helps!
