Pros

Team's commitment to quality and safety are ever present. Our team goes through "it happened here" stories as learning in order to create safer and best care for our patients. I really like the emphasis on this. Very different than my last hospital.

Cons

Healthcare is rapidly changing. I think all hospitals are having struggles with reimbursement. So this is true here too.

Pros

Truly dedicated to providing high quality & safe care, as shown by teams, projects, support, technology, and many other resources focused at improving care for your loved one, or community as a whole. The PEOPLE!!!! Mission is truly a family atmosphere focusing on teamwork and relationship building. I commute an hour everyday, passing two other hospitals in WNC, to come work with an exceptional team that I would trust caring for my mother. Tremendous personal & professional growth opportunities Growing - currently in the process of building a new patient care.

Cons

Every job has its pro's & con's, but the only Con's that I have a little knit-picky things that in a review like this don't impact the overall picture of Mission Health. If I had to list one, I would say Parking on-site. However this is supported by a shuttle system.

Pros

Well-run organization "Feel-good" mission - serve the people of WNC Great location - Asheville is hard to compete with. Large enough to have what you want, but maintains a low-stress feel. Retirement plan matching, generous PTO

Cons

Should you ever have a desire to leave, it's hard to justify leaving Asheville and Mission. The grass is typically not greener elsewhere.
