Pros
- Good benefits package, including pension. - On-site health services. - Work schedule is Mon-Thurs (4x10). - While the commute can be long, the company offers a bus service to/from your work location. - Everyone I worked with genuinely cared about each other. From each person, to the team/site, to the company as a whole - everyone wanted success and safety.
Cons
- Most positions require you to be on-site. Depending on where you live this could mean a 1-2 hour commute EACH WAY. - Pay is low for any position below senior-level. If you have 10+ years experience, the pay is fantastic. If you're mid-level or below, pay is not very competitive with the private sector. - This is a government contract. You are at the behest of the government's decisions. Direction can change as new politicians are elected. Some areas are impacted by this more than others.
