Pros

Inter-disciplinary, state-of-the-art and yet practical research encouraged. There are many very smart people around. Management is overall quite competent and treat employee well.

Cons

there is not much room to grow your career since the lab is quite small. not enough young people so the place feels too old at times.

Not very many places like this exist. You can do upstream research, and get rewarded. Salary and benefits are very good.

Cons

This is a great place if you are a PhD and got hired for research. If you are a PhD and got hired for developmental tasks, you might as well go elsewhere.
