This is the THIRD time I’ve tried to make a review for Modern Animal. Glassdoor even posted my review and then removed it with no explanation. If you notice the pattern of reviews you can clearly see problem and Glassdoor has been informed but they simply didn’t care. Everything negative thing said about Modern Animal in the review is 100% true. This is a shady company ran by shady people. Gaslighting, manipulation, lies, toxic positivity. Upselling and getting more money out of people is the only thing this company truly cares about…

A great company doing great things, but has had some setbacks

Pros

The culture is positive and the people are great to work with. There's an overall care and love for the mission from all teams and people are excited and dedicated to pets and their healthcare. The teams are open to being scrappy and trying new approaches to solve problems. Process exists but it is not overbearing and teammates are open to change and make suggestions around it.

Cons

The company suffered recent setbacks/layoffs due to what has been communicated as poor planning overall (company not being able to meet goals it set for itself, growth not happening quick enough, tough market expansion). This impacted the culture for sure and has turned it into more of a startup vibe, which can be both positive and negative.
