      Management can be challenging

      Pros

      The benefits, parking/transportation and location are great.

      Cons

      The structure and management are lacking. People are being moved around to positions they don’t feel qualified for or are not in line with their expertise. Directors are being hired with no responsibilities and others are being promoted to management with zero management skills. Many good people have either left or are leaving due to mismanagement, lack of transparency and agenda’s with ill will.

      Unorganized, really shady practices in the name of science

      Benefits are great, smart people and amazing science

      Cons

      Zero communication from management. You will find out information that affects your group from other departments. Lack of diversity in management positions. People of colour rarely get opportunities for development, growth and promotions their non people of colour coworkers get. Lack of diversity, in that Management will promote the people they like who are just like them so management is filled with the same type of people, same personalities, same way of thinking. All the constant reorganizations are so the same people can be promoted over and over again up the ladder. No work life balance. The employees getting the work done are the same ones not getting promotion opportunities. If you're a person of colour looking for growth avoid this company. You will work and work and management will keep making excuses and coming up with random reasons for why you don't deserve a promotion.
