Good WLB. No oncall. Nice co-workers. Benefit is great. Free parking and meals. Hybrid working. Modern techstack and AI technologies.

Cons

Cut cost. Layoffs a lot. Reorgs a lot. Visible politics. No lifestyle spending account (used to be 400/month) Career is not comparable with tech

Pros

Benefits are still decent and for some people, they’re paid above market value. Not true for everyone.

Cons

Promotions are highly political and it depends on your manager. If they aren’t “in” with upper management you can basically forget about it. I’ve seen many deserving people passed over and other people move up the ranks and you wonder HOW! Also EC all giving themselves promotions while they lay off significant number of people was a kick in the shins.

Constant change especially in the area of processes in an effort to standardize but roll out is often quick and not always well thought out, implementation timeframe often stresses out teams as the time is typically short in light of regular workload. Morale low due to recent reorganization Return to office emphasis causing a lot of stress for employees as most do not live close to office hubs
