      Cons

      None for me. But it takes the right mindset and motivation for learning and pushing past possible to excel at Moderna.

      Good benefits, toxic culture and work till you die

      Pros

      Benefits, growth & opportunity, “saving the world”

      Cons

      Expectation of 60-95 hour weeks Inadequate staffing Toxic, manipulative environment in some areas, not all intentional blindness to risk **currently conducting layoffs disguised as unsuccessful PIPs stemming from performance reviews containing blatantly fabricated information. 25% layoff in my department, although CEO recently committed to nearly doubling the size of the company this year.

      An exciting, but sometimes challenging, company to work for

      Pros

      Moderna can be an exciting company to work for - with one of the most robust pipelines in the industry, there are never any dull moments. - The benefits are outstanding (could go a little higher on 401k, but still good) - Compensation and equity are strong - There is a lot of opportunity to grow and learn - Fast-paced environment - A lot of genuinely hard-working people - Company has a strong financial outlook and focuses consistently on R&D - I believe they have a good future ahead of them

      Cons

      Overall, my experience has been pretty good, but a few cons to watch out for: - The workload can be heavy - this is not a place to work if you are looking for strong work/life balance. - The culture can be intense and if you don't have a really good relationship with your boss, it's difficult place to work. It feels like a lot of fear-based leadership, from the top down. - A lot of managers are new managers, and many don't have training in how to manage people. There aren't currently formal ways to provide feedback in a safe way about managers either. - There is a strong focus on learning, but not necessarily clear career growth paths. It would be great to see the focus shift so that it's more tangible for how your career can grow both in and outside of Moderna.
