Management, especially within Technical Development, is the absolute worst. There is no level of accountability, and are easily persuaded by senior leadership to do things that adversely affects all of those that work in the laboratory. Additionally, if you are interested in moving into a different part of the business, be prepared to become a target when reviews come around, as based on your review and the projects you are working on, you may (or may not) be able to move laterally. There is an old school mentality with leadership, and from someone who has worked hard and proven themselves, it got so frustrating it was time to leave. There was also a lot of favoritism and individuals who got promoted were not promoted on their merits, but on what project was priority at the moment and who was favored. There are senior leaders who do not know how to manage people effectively, but are still able to get promoted. It is great to have the knowledge and the expertise, but it is equally important to manage and cultivate future leaders!

There are some really good employees, however the company is run by too many 30 year old directors and snr managers. Lacks leadership from professionals who have industry experience that have been around the block numerous times that can make decisions and strategize.
