Good place to start bad place to stay

Pros

People here are nice, help is available, decent benefits and pay, good work life balance, good opportunities to learn

Cons

Government oriented work, older tech stack, management has little organization, favoritism, and company is fast to hire and layoff en masse

Small friendly group of contractors

Pros

Most of the people here are great. The performance review process is about as painless as it could be. They tend not to overwork you, which is HUGE PLUS.

Cons

Generally see only a small percentage of other Moebius employees due to contracts. Small company so unclear how much room there is for growth.

Pros

Relaxed work environment. Engaged CEO. Small company feel. Wide variety of projects with small teams, so you get to try a lot of stuff. Very "open source" friendly, both in use and under production (or at least as close to "open source" as DoD software can get).

Cons

If you're looking to be more than a team lead, you're not going to find a big enough organization to lead here. A fair amount of software has an experimental feel to it, which makes sense, nothing is developed for retail consumers. ...and about 10k calories worth of snack foods are there to tempt you all day long.
