Pros

Management is supportive. There is collaboration. The work and life balance is great. As an employee you are helping the cure of cancer.

Cons

The worst con which is very minimal is the parking. It is spread out so there may be offsite parking where an employee would have to take a 5 min shuttle that runs every 15-20 mins to the building they work in.

I work part time and it is very hard to find a comparable job in the area that compensates as well. They also have great benefits.

Cons

Very high stress work environment which is reflected in the attitude of the employees. Not much opportunity for growth in certain positions.

Pros

Moffitt cares, not only about the patients, but also about their staff. They have more "well-being" programs, etc., than I have ever encountered at a workplace. 90% of the staff have a positive attitude working at Moffitt. The pay is great, I do not get benefits at this time because I am a temporary employee. I am working towards becoming permanent. In the time I have been at Moffitt, I cannot imagine working somewhere else. The whole atmosphere is calm and stable. Yes there is A LOT of work to do, but you WANT to do it, and you WANT to help the patients, it is not drudgery at all! I personally love working at Moffitt, the other employees I work with have been there for years, some 20 plus! There is a reason for that and I see it.

Cons

I cannot state any Cons at this time as I am grateful that I have a job, and not just a job at some corporate money making stressful crazy place (and I've seen many) but employment at one of the greatest cancer centers in the world. I'm not just an employee either, I have a family member that is a patient, so I have been around the block at Moffitt. I would say, if you work at Moffitt and wish to complain, you are in the wrong place, make the best of everything there is to offer there. Be positive and realize that you are working under great management and in a wonderful, caring institution.
