Pros

Learn best practices such as standard work, kaizens and kanban. People are great. The culture does not tolerate resistance to change

Cons

Most people are dissatisfied with the work/life balance. VP Operations is generally despised by everyone. There is very little latitude for creativity. Follow DBS is the mantra

Pros

Hard working Accounting and Finance Groups; Strong FP&A Manager leadership;Collaborated efforts within Accounting and FP&A teams. Strong system administration support in Hyperion Enterprise. Flexible working environment.

Cons

Lack of fair communication and/or leadership from VP Finance to his staff. Financial system upgrade to Hyperion Planning or EssBase is recommended. Reduntant reporting submission requirements to two different systems at the month end close.

Pros

The acquisition by Danaher has brought much needed focus on product sales, quality, and bottom line profit. There have been significant changes to flaten the managment structure, reduce labor costs, improve space utilization, and reduce engineering spend. The result is improved profitability.

Cons

It is not clear if significant cost savings achieved through Danaher Business Systems will translate into long term organic growth and innovation. The model appears to be growth through acquisition, profitability through cost cutting, and repeat. Moral is down despite greatly improved financial results.
