Pros

You learn many different skills as you do everyone's job.

Cons

A recent review was removed by the company. It seems they have enough money to remove honest comments, but not enough to keep loyal talented employees. In my one year employment, I have witnessed three mass layoffs and blatant disrespect of different people, cultures and general human rights. This company is ran by children who have absolutely no business mindset and have no business running a company.

Pros

Remote work, benefits covered gender affirmation surgery costs

Cons

In my time working with and being aware of Community Brands, I've witnessed more than one massive round of firings. A quick Google search shows that this is common, with the senior leadership team being cycled through regularly since 2019. While I was with the company in 2021, the group suddenly let go of 13 international staff members, some of whom were working live event support that day or the day following. The short-sighted decisions of the Disney-centric leadership team member assigned to our app effectively worked each of our teams into shells of what they once were. We were encouraged to have skip-level meetings when we couldn't find positive working styles with our managers, but then informed we were being 'insubordinate' by leadership when these meetings were actually held, as we shouldn't be challenging the authority of those above us. It's hard to respect the authority of leaders though when a simple clarifying question ignites constant emotional reactions, which radiate through all levels of management. It's clear the party member(s) responsible for this massive round of layoffs is concerned with their public image, and as well they should be. There is no way to cover this, the way that issues such as compensation rates and company culture have been brushed aside in the past. The white, cisgender, and mostly-straight leadership team does not stand behind whatever feeble messaging they present for creating an inclusive work environment. Leaders would rather 'hope attitudes shift naturally' than make clear statements regarding inclusivity efforts, specifically surrounding efforts to create a more trans-inclusive work environment. Don't take a role here expecting to feel heard or valued as an employee, and definitely don't become comfortable in your role.

Pros

Remote work, great people to work with on your team and immediate supervisors/managers

Cons

Corporate machine that ran the company into the ground. Shady business done by VPs and higher ups. Mass layoffs with no warning or plan in place and expected those who were left to pick up the pieces while the VP took a vacation the very next day. Absolutely zero possibility of a raise outside of your 1% yearly increase, even though the work of multiple positions falls on you and even expect you to cross train on other brands without being compensated.
