The coworkers are a huge reason I've been able to grow and remain in this field; we are each other's biggest support. The workplace has an atmosphere of collaboration and inclusion. Of course working with clients is hugely fulfilling and is the reason I'm in this field to begin with.

Cons

It is VERY difficult to advance or get promoted without a master's degree (LCSW, MFT, LMFT, etc.) and the expectations from the county to meet productivity can be stifling. You have to make peace with lots of paperwork and MediCal billing.
