Great facility to work at!

Pros

Bethany on the lake really stays on top of making sure patients get the care they need. I like that they did not have mandatory Oncall for the schedule unlike a few other nursing homes in the area. Management was great when I worked there and helpful and very kind and hardworking staff.

Cons

With any nursing facility when we were short on nursing staff for the day we really suffered. Quite a heavy workload. Especially for nurses when short staffed. There were times I was the only nurse for 30-40 patients with a tma to help on the med passes.

The residents are wonderful to be around

Cons

Lack of good management, lack of empathy, staff treated poorly, lack of teamwork, poor management skills, poor aides (pool aides that don’t know what they are doing but still expect to be paid), disrespect to the residents by encroaching on their rights to choose what they want and how they want it, staff neglecting residents that deserve dignity and respect (hair a mess and dirty stained clothes).
