Heavy exposure to many facets of the acquisition, financing, and operations of multifamily properties. You are not just stuck in a box working on one thing. You very much have a small business owner mentality here where you wear many hats and much is expected.

Cons

Sometime the pace of operations is non-stop and can be tiring. However, the experience far outweighs the occasional exhaustion (and the vacation time is nice too).

Pros

I started with Monarch as a Property Manager and advanced into the home office within 2 years. Monarch is a great group to work for. I say group because they are more than just a company, they are an extended family who really cares about who I am as a person and has a true desire to help advance my career. They recently created a whole department, Employee Relations, for the purpose of taking care of their team members.

Cons

The fact that their home office is in Franktown, CO and is kind of off the beaten path with only 1 street light in town makes it very difficult to find something good to eat for lunch.
