Pros

*Supported by upper management, all the way up to the owners. They showed their appreciation regularly with things like the annual fish fry which sounds simple but it's actually a nice weekend away from work & you're welcome to bring your family; to boot reimbursement for maintenance employees working outside in tough weather doing snow removal. Also rewarding outstanding employees with company shares, and the President's Club week of recognition & training for outstanding managers. In my time there, a housekeeper who left to persue another opportunity was welcome back in a leasing role, showing they think outside the box & are willing to give you a chance! It's been about 12 years since I left to persue another opportunity & I've interviewed with them a few times since then. I continue to watch for opening & know it will happen in the future, when the time is right. Would love to work with them again. *They treat their residents well & are respectful of industry standards & fair housing standards.

Cons

Can't think of any. Very fair employers in the five-ish years that I worked for them.

Corporate reap the benefits of the on-site employees' hard work. "Wolf of mainstreet" not only applies for the residents...

Loyalty and years of service not appreciated. Raises for on site, non- management very minimal

Challenging Environment with High Expectations

Pros

The company provides opportunities to gain experience in property management and exposes employees to a fast-paced environment where you can develop strong multitasking and problem-solving skills. Team members on the ground level often work extremely hard to keep operations moving, especially when dealing with high occupancy and resident demands.

Cons

At times, support from upper management and operational systems can feel limited, which makes an already demanding role more difficult. Very tedious and demanding even for a seasoned experienced team member. Processes can be very redundant and outdated, creating extra administrative work rather than improving efficiency. Work-life balance can also be challenging,
