Terrible Management & LONG hours

Pros

Pets at work. Nice office space.

Cons

Terrible leadership that starts at the VERY TOP! They don’t care about helping people find jobs or helping companies find the best candidate for the job. It’s all about getting those deals done and making that money. It’s gross how little they actually care about their clients and candidates. They don’t much care for their own people either unless you’re a top biller. Management leads by fear and are happy to wash their hands of you if you aren’t making them insane amounts of money. It’s just on to the next person, like a revolving door. College students and prospective employees beware!!! If you have any sort of a life outside of work, you won’t survive unless you give it all up and work LONG, ridiculous hours.

Pros

To realize what the bottom of the barrel really feels like so you can aspire to do better.

Cons

Training is a joke. There is none. If you like being put down constantly and treated like a moron, sign up. If you have any self respect, stay away.

Pros

Overall they do a good job hiring fun lively employees, met some great people working here. It is also the grittiest place on earth.

Cons

Where to begin... Very poor treatment of clients, even worse treatment of consultants, and if you are a Salesperson or Recruiter be prepared for a 12 hours plus day. Very strange cultish culture, if you are into that this could be a pro. Obsessed with contingent offers... The amount of times I saw these called and then fall apart was INSANE. Don't call a deal until its actually a deal, it sucks all the fun out of placing someone. They offer clients 3 days free trials on consultants. If it doesn't work out the consultant that was working at another position is left high and dry. Putting a consultant on a trial project, having them quit a job they are in, and then having the client say "they aren't a good fit", especially when the client didn't want to hire them anyway, is an awesome way to build relationships. Definitely a shady practice. Short-term focus... When I left the company they were struggling to reach individual office goals, as a result nationwide goals were not met. Hemorrhaging talent, while this does create opportunity for growth and for people to "step up" often times people are put in positions they are not able to be successful in. The amount of team lead and team management turnover is troubling to say the least. The compensation is bad - the base salary is fine but the commission structure is very weak. If you are passionate about sales, don't get stuck with a lame commission plan and look else where. The Career Agents ask you to write a review on Glassdoor as well and send it to them. So it can be hard to be candid when they will know who wrote the review. On top of this the technical recruiters are bribed to have their consultants write positive reviews. So dig into the reviews as much as you can!

We work hard to make sure our sales and recruiting practices are as fair and beneficial to both our consultants and candidates we work with. We'd love to have a more complete exit interview with you to understand your criticisms in context, so please, we'd love to have an honest exit interview. Please reach out to me, Nicole Gulotta, at 646.517.5606 or nicole.gulotta@mondo.com. I'd love to connect with you to discuss what Mondo could do better!
