Pros

The company energy is cool. You can definitely be yourself and bond with conworker a going through the same obstacles as you.

Cons

Prepare to be penny pinched by management. When I spoke to CEO during interview process I was told I would be given everything for my success....had to buy my own office equipment outside of a laptop. Was told I was approved for extra company money to purchase equipment but when I expensed the agreed upon amount - I was told they’d only cover half. So it came out of my pocket. You’ll have to pay out of pocket for systems that the company should just give you. Bigs wigs of the company don’t seem to realize how much comes out of our pockets for systems we need just to do our job?? You won’t be able to sign into systems they do pay for because there aren’t enough licenses for everyone. Training was interesting. Everyone’s so busy doing their own job that they don’t have time to really teach you yours. You will be out on the spot in front of others whether you feel ready or not...then be told you aren’t ready...only to receive word that wow you passed this level of training great job! Very mixed message from top to bottom. There are no flex Fridays when you start either. Prepare to work 60 hour weeks for at least 6months-1 year and even successful people at this job still work those hours and well over. Overworking yourself seems to be celebrated at this company.

Pros

Base salary is solid for recent grads. If you stick with the company long-term and work/stress yourself out to the brink of death, you can actually make good commission.

Cons

Management is a nightmare. Mondo preaches "culture" and being a "great place to work" but in reality you are a slave to management who forces the employees and office leaders to adhere to their methods. Don't expect any type of individuality working here. Yes, I understand that things are numbers-driven in the staffing industry, but Mondo does not embrace employee differences. Expect to have everything you do tracked in terms of metrics (calls, emails, how many times you smell your fingers). My biggest complaint is the upper management. The recruiting leadership literally has no impact on the training of new recruiters - they're there simply to track metrics and micro-manage you when working with candidates. If you do one thing that they don't like with a candidate (even if it's out of your control) you will be treated like trash. Work-life balance is 3/10 at best. Expect to work on weekends.

Mondo works hard to make sure all of our employees are trained thoroughly and treated fairly. We have been commended by a number of workplace organizations for best-in-industry benefits and workplace policies. But we know that we always have room to improve! We would love to have a more comprehensive exit interview with you to put your criticisms in context. Please reach out to me, Nicole Gulotta, at 646.517.5606 or nicole.gulotta@mondo.com. Looking forward to hearing from you!
