      Pros

      The product is outstanding The environment is very inclusive They seem to want to do the right thing most of the time

      Cons

      Disagreement is not well-tolerated. They value process over results. Pay is low. They attempt to convince you that equity comp is better. Management has increasingly used performance improvement plans (PIPs) as an alternative to layoffs, which can feel underhanded.

      People are passionate about what they do. The technology works better than advertised and the market is ripe for disruption so demand for the product is massive.

      Cons

      The demand for MongoDB is so great and the growth is exponential which means unfortunately we cannot seem to hire great people fast enough.
