Pros

During the interviews they manage to inspire you and think about your current career which might enable the next step in your career.

Cons

Please read Reddit and other stories. So to summarize: 1) Don’t assume that after an intens application process you will manage once you are in. They will be the same as in the interview and micro manage you until you will doubt yourself. 2) The management is a total different vehicle than all other tech companies. They will seduce you with high bonuses and a lot of money. They are only mathematical driven and focus on numbers like a money printing machine. Every interaction has to be the best of the best and there is no time or effort to genuinely help the customer. Working at Mongo is only about showing off, and internal meetings with pitches and kpis to compare who is the best in presenting. Especially management likes to show off how elite and good they are. Many people and customers reject Mongo because of this culture. If you read this you probably have thoughts and I recommend to follow them and avoid this toxic environment. Even with extreme commissions and money it’s not worth to waste your mental health on this crazy vehicle. They will burn you and throw you away for another fool. Don’t believe the posts from management how great, ‘thrilling’ and inspiring everything is; check for salesreps, they will never post this.
