      Pros

      People at MongoDB tend to be genuinely interested in their areas of work and learning, I've found it to be a culture of collaboration vs. competition. MongoDB has a self-starter culture and there are lots of opportunities to take on new, challenging work. While we're growing, there's still not too much bureaucracy and projects tend to move fast and flexibly. Execs are open and approachable which provides great opportunities to make your voice heard and learn from some truly impressive leaders.

      Cons

      Some of the perks are still catching up to what you might see at a larger company – but overall things are pretty good, this has improved a lot over the past few years.

      My experience at MDB added great value to my career. I got everything one can ever ask for a job: promotion, stock with great perspective, great managers, job skills that unlock future potential. Work life balance is great. taking time off or WFH is highly encouraged. Close to subway. free lunches...

      Cons

      it got a bit more political some times and some colleagues aren't competent enough. But I guess that is a common issue.

      Pros

      You are surrounded by smart, driven people who will push you to be your best everyday. The leadership really believes in development & promoting from within, so, if you succeed & add value back to the team expect to build your career. This is the biggest market in enterprise software, so the opportunity to make an impact is through the roof.

      Cons

      You'll have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. We move fast, change things and seek opportunities to improve quickly. We give direct feedback regularly. This is a con if you aren't comfortable hearing what's working or isn't very directly and plainly. As with any fast growing business, sometimes there's a disconnect between levels.
