      Pros

      After endless rounds of layoff, there are still some talented and cool people left. Cool client projects to work on.

      Cons

      Monks pay below market rate and the annual raise/promotion doesn’t even come close to cover inflation. There has been freeze on raise and promotion in the midst of endless rounds of layoffs. Very toxic environment created by the upper management. Employees are over worked because so many layoffs, and still underpaid and not being valued. Most people feel drained, stressed, not appreciated at work while still putting their best foot forward trying to meet demanding deadlines. But management hasn’t done anything concrete to show appreciation to their employees - just be glad you haven’t been laid off yet.

      Good spot for short term

      Pros

      Excellent healthcare benefits, good people who get their work done. A good spot to work for a few years if needed but nothing to consider as a long term play. The work with clients goes up and down. Mostly down as of recent.

      Cons

      HR/Compensation is a hot mess. New policies and programs every year, managers have no say in how raises are implemented. Incredibly siloed. You work at a small company within an enormous organization. The efforts to make it seems like a cohesive company are hollow, uninspiring, and confusing.
