The people are very friendly and attempt to be courteous and helpful. There is a genuine feeling of people trying to help.

Cons

Many people make you believe that it is plausible for them to solely have their job based on nepotism, and no real talent.

Pros

I worked with really supportive faculty who were really passionate about their research. My department as a whole was open and friendly and many profs did exciting research.

Cons

Communication between departments (especially departments that are involved in similar research or have similar goals) could be a lot stronger. Also, the administration and paperwork side of things is pretty bad. Just hope that no one makes a mistake with your paycheck, because it seems like the process to get mistakes like this rectified is tedious, long, and at times, outrageous.
