Great place to start and get experience
Pros
Morgan Properties has some genuinely positive aspects, especially when it comes to training and employee programs. The company teaches the job very well, and their “Morgan University” program is a great resource for learning everything about leasing, property management, and professional development. They also offer an employee wellness program that tracks health goals and rewards you with gift cards, plus a quarterly $300 gas bonus and other helpful benefits. One of the biggest pros for me was the coworkers — everyone was supportive, and we were all navigating similar challenges together.
Cons
the job comes with serious downsides. Many of the apartment communities are in poor condition, with issues like roaches, mold, and general disrepair. The properties are often too large for the number of employees assigned, which leads to burnout very quickly. As a leasing agent, I also struggled with the pressure to present things in a way that didn’t match the reality residents would face, and that ultimately led me to leave. Overall, there are good benefits and strong training, but the property conditions and staffing issues make the job difficult to sustain.
