Pros

A demanding work environment, with a diverse portfolio of initiatives to work on. Impressive talent pool, with broad background and levels of experience.

Cons

Feel like the firm is past it's prime, still living in the past trying and trying to leverage it's reputation from 10 years ago.

Pros

MS believes in working as a team. They don't want star employees but rather star teams. Therefore, they will put in the time and training to help you achieve success so you can learn "the business". They also have a wonderful open door policy for the managers and upper management. Everyone is willing to listen to an idea or worry that you might have.

Cons

There are so many departments at MS so you may find it hard to understand what everyone does. Also, depending on the position, if you are not an admin then changes are you will be working an average of 10 hours or more a day.
