Pros

Casual dress code, no strict vacation policy, decent benefits, weekly bagels. Well respected name within the mutual fund industry. Interesting methodologies.

Cons

Compensation is too low. 10+ hour days are the norm. Teams are chronically understaffed. Clients are dissatisfied. Senior management refuses to invest in the headcount necessary for significant change. Overall culture is focused on putting out fires and ignores long term strategic vision. Professional development is a low priority. Office environment is dreary. Overly vertical structure limits the potential for relationship building and future career options. Most low to mid-level managers are young, inexperienced, and undertrained.
