Pros

Paycheck and you eat for free

Cons

Management has no management skills. Nurses are rude and managers won't take up for you. They show favoritism towards their new employees

Pros

You get days off Some coworkers are nice

Cons

They mess with your paychecks, it’s nice at first they give you the bonuses that’s how they reel you in. Then you start to notice your check is short, and sometimes you can’t even clock into work. Managers are petty and won’t program your name into the system if they don’t like you. Thus you have to go to payroll and have them manually correct your hours. Which is ridiculous how many times this happened while I worked there. Also half the time patients don’t get their food or they get the wrong food. You deal with arrogant nurses who talk down to you because you’re a good service worker. You get arrogant and mean patients that demand the moon and the sun and when they don’t get it they throw a fit. You get managers reprimanding you for taking too many bathroom breaks. You get two 15 minutes breaks out of a 12 hour shift and sometimes the first break is in the morning so you get there at 6AM then your break is at 7:30AM, that means your next break isn’t until 3 in the afternoon sometimes later depending on the day. By the time you clock out for lunch and try to grab your food it’s time to go back to work again. On top of that sometimes staff doesn’t show up, there’s a huge turnover rate you’ll see new faces every week literally. One time it was just me and another coworker, only two of us answering the phone for a hospital with over 400 patience. I couldn’t use the bathroom or go to lunch that day. The the higher ups lecture is during meetings about not answering phones fast enough and too many drop calls. Don’t work here stay far away unless you like being stressed out to the point your hair falls out.
